Learning to Remember It’s Not About Me

While having a chat with a dear friend about another dear friend (whether we’re at odds or not), it occurred to me that I’d be a lot less upset about the choices people in my life make that hurt me if I remember that it isn’t always personal. Sometimes people make really crappy choices, and it’s 100% a ‘them’ problem, not ours.

It’s good, personally, to know that yeah, the meds work - but so does my sense of rationale. So I keep on keepin’ on, and wish the folks I love well in every step of their journey.

If you’re reading, I’d love to know: when was the last time a conversation brought about a moment of clarity?
